Re: Capreol Downtown Waterfront CIP and Whitson River Waterway Trail

The City of Greater Sudbury has used the services of Greenland International Consulting Ltd. for the design of the Capreol Downtown Waterfront and the design of the Whitson River Waterway Trail.

Greenland delivered both projects on budget and provided consistency in its leadership from the landscape team. This stability in project management meant that we were working with a company who was familiar with the City’s project and consultation processes.

The Capreol Downtown Waterfront improvements were constructed in 2018 in time for the community’s 100^th anniversary and incorporated the community’s railway history into the design. Greenland was skilled at integrating the wishes of the community into cohesive and creative designs that provide great connections between the Community’s main street areas and natural features.

Municipality of Meaford

Re: Reference Letter

The municipality of Meaford has worked very closely with Greenland International Consulting Ltd. on a number of projects over the past few years. Some of these projects include the development of a master plan for property along the Bighead River in Meaford as well as the development of accessibility ramp in the urban core. Their visioning and attention to detail is some of the best I have ever worked with. Their willingness to communicate with staff and implement comments through public cosultation sessions makes the entire process flawless. Muskoka Watershed Council

The Muskoka Watershed Council’s mission is to champion watershed health in those watersheds that flow into and through the District Municipality of Muskoka. There is no conservation authority in Muskoka, instead the Council is a volunteer-based organization supported by the District of Muskoka, local consulting firms, and local Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change offices.

The Muskoka Watershed Council is currently undertaking a project to understand the potential impact of climate change in Muskoka to the year 2050. In working with our municipal partners, decision support tools such as Greenland’s new CANWET-5 model could be useful in informing our watershed management planning decisions in relation to policy development, stewardship priorities and education and communication programs.
